The first civilisations emerged around 3200 BC in Ancient Egypt, the modern country Egypt. This civilisation was formed by the introduction of political power, and the first Pharaoh.

The idea of language developed in this period of time, with the Sumerian language being known as one of the first languages, spoken by the ancient Sumer in Mesopotamia, now modern Iraq.

This language was made up of symbols and Ancient Egyptians took this idea into their own. The formation of hieroglyphics meant that in the modern day, we can learn about Ancient Egypt and how they lived at the time. These hieroglyphics have also influenced modern day style. An example of this is tattoo designs. Many people have quotes or sayings that are meaningful, getting these translated into hieroglyphics give a better looking design than just writing.
